The Doodle Lad and his Dimensional Drift
The narrative of my project deals with Agoraphobia – the irrational and unreasonable fear of traveling alone; a fear of stepping out of your comfort zone to safe place to a new environment ;and it also deals with the exaggeration of the mind, how it conceives things due to stress.
My comic “The Doodle Lad and his dimensional drift” is an exaggeration of events that took place while I was traveling alone from my home country Pakistan to Coventry in the United Kingdom for my Masters degree. I don’t consider myself as much of a explorer and haven’t traveled alone by myself before these events, so either I travelled with my friends or my parents but this was the very first time I was on a journey all by myself. There was always this fear on the back of my mind about getting lost and the thoughts of not blending in with the new environment and people as my mother language is not English – its Urdu.
The whole narrative of my story is me overthinking normal stuff and making it into something that is completely exaggerated. In the comic, my character is in a constant battle between reality and his over imaginative mind. Traveling alone to an alien country made him imagine normal citizens as aliens as he felt like a fish out if water for the first few days. The narrative of this comic book revolves around him and his first few days after arriving in UK so he is completely unaware of his surroundings; the city and the fear of agoraphobia and the feeling of jet-lag made him paranoid but as time progresses, he slowly starts to settle down in the new city. Overcominghis fear and things start to normalize around him.

Khattay Angoor
Inspiring tales of bullies and the bullied
The comic series is based on the stories of bullying; portraying different perspectives through the eyes of bullies, its victims and the bystanders. “Khattay Angoor” refers to sour grapes amongst the rest; representing those one or two kids in every class who always seem to stir up trouble. The objective of this comic was to spread awareness about bullying in schools, its effects on students and how to tackle such situations in different and interesting ways.
Target Audience: Middle School and High School kids.

The art style chosen for this brand was “Doodling” so children can have fun observing mini details and can later fill colors on it. These illustrations served both as catalog and coloring book for kids.
